About This Directory

Finding a contractor in Greene County still mostly runs on word of mouth — a name passed across a counter, a recommendation in a Facebook group, a truck someone saw parked at a neighbour's house. That works, right up until it doesn't.

Greeneville & Co Verified is an attempt to write that knowledge down. Every listing here was entered and checked by a person. There is no algorithm deciding who appears first for money, no advertising, and no way to buy a better position. Vendors are ordered by the reviews they have earned — nothing else.

Who Runs It

GC Verified is powered by Greeneville & Co, and it started with a question Tom Willett gets asked 10 to 20 times a week: “Hey Tom, do you know somebody who can…?” After two and a half years of working on a better answer, this is it.

This isn't handed off to a third-party company. Tom's team checks every vendor, runs the list, and stands behind it. We live and work here, and the businesses on this list are people we are willing to put our own name behind — which is the entire reason the list is short.

How It Is Built

Listings are added by hand, not scraped. Credentials are confirmed against the issuing authority's own records and stamped with the date of the check. Reviews publish only after the reviewer shows proof they hired the business. It grows slowly on purpose.
